According to the approved Amendment to the Water Supply Planning of Hanoi Capital to 2030, with a vision to 2050, issued by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 554/QD-TTg dated April 6, 2021 and the Water Supply Planning of Hoa Binh Province to 2030 approved by the People's Committee of Hoa Binh Province in Decision No. 2969/QD-UBND dated December 30, 2019, the investment and construction project of Xuan Mai - Hoa Binh Water Supply System is one of the water supply projects that need to be prioritized for implementation to supply water to the southern area of Hanoi Capital and Hoa Binh Province.
This is a large-scale, inter-regional, inter-provincial clean water supply project with the strategic goal of building a sustainable clean water supply system, capable of supplying and meeting the stable and long-term clean water needs of Hoa Binh Province, Hanoi Capital and neighboring areas. This will help to increase water supply safety, contribute to thoroughly solving the people's need for clean water, as well as accelerate the urbanization of key economic regions.
The project has a total investment of VND 5,130 billion, with a capacity of 300,000m3/day for both components, including the Hoa Binh component and the Hanoi component. In which, phase 1 of the Xuan Mai - Hoa Binh Water Supply System Construction Investment Project is implemented according to the roadmap: From 2024 to 2026, phase 1A will be completed to operate and supply 150,000m3/day , and by 2030, phase 1B will be completed to increase the capacity to 300,000m3/day.
According to the plan, Phase 1 of the Project extract raw water from the Da River to treat and provide long-term stable clean water, on an inter-regional, inter-provincial scale for Hoa Binh province, Hanoi Capital and neighboring areas.
The project includes the following items: Raw water intake and pumping station, area 2.7ha, 2 raw water pipelines, each 8km long and 2 clean water pipelines, each 20km long, along National Highway 6 in Hoa Binh city and Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province to Hanoi city.
The project started Phase 1A on April 18, 2024. By March 2025, the project is gradually taking shape with the utmost efforts of the AquaOne Group team. We are committed to continuing to strive and complete the project to soon provide clean water to the people.
