Time – Capacity: is a factory with regional water supply scale, with planned capacity of 900,000 m3 /day and total designed capacity: 1,200,000 m3 /day
- Capacity stage 1 (2019): 300,000 m3 /day ( Completed the first phase on September 5, 2019)
- Capacity stage 2 (2023): 600,000 m3 /day.
- Capacity stage 3 (2030): 900,000 m3 /day.
- Full capacity after year 2030: 1,200,000 m3 /day.
Target:
- Ensure sufficient supply of clean water for one third of Hanoi’s population (about 3 million people, in 168 communes and wards of 8 districts in the northeast and south of Hanoi city) and urban areas , industrial zones within the planned districts, some surrounding resident town such as Bac Ninh, Hung Yen… and gradually replaced underground water resource which has been at high risk of pollution.
- Development and continuous expansion to 2023 to reach 600,000 m3 capacity / day and 2030 to reach 900,000 m3 capacity / day.
- The project uses raw water resources exploited from Đuống River with quality and flow to ensure water supply for domestic use and to meet the development stages to increase the capacity of water plants by 2050.
- Raising awareness and understanding for people about using clean water.
